Facilities Committee Meeting Held

maintenanceThe Kuna School District has established a District Facilities Committee!  The Kuna District Facilities Committee had their first meeting on Thursday, March 19th at Initial point High School. They will continue to meet one to two times a month. Committee information and findings can be found on the district web site under  committeesAll Facility Committee meetings are open to the public and all interested students, parents, and community members are invited to attend!

The Kuna School District has grown at an average rate of three percent for the last ten years. Although growth in recent years has slowed, state and city economic indicators suggest Kuna and the district are ready to grow yet again. It is essential that the district prepare for this by updating the district facilities plan. The Facilities Committee, comprised of community members and district staff, will review the status of the district’s current facilities and develop recommendations to address the district’s facility needs for the coming years.

If you would like additional information or have questions, please contact Devan DeLashmutt, Assistant Superintendent, at 922-1000 or Committee Chairman Jim Ford at 941-5796.
