A tremendous thank you from Operation Wishbook

kunaA tremendous thank you from Operation Wishbook

We've had another amazing year for Kuna families with Operation Wishbook. As a district, we were able to collect a total of 944 new books for kids in our community which are to be distributed among 75+ families! I am fairly sure that has to be some kind of record! I continually find myself overjoyed to be a part of this amazing district!

A special shout out to these OWB Champions:

  • Mike Pletcher and Katie Kajkowski's 6th graders at Crimson Point for helping to count and package books yesterday--Wow!
  • KHS FFA for coordinating their food drive with us!
  • District Librarians for helping to collect from all of our schools!
  • The Kuna Grange for donating a heaping box of new books to our cause!
  • Our Wonderful Community Members including: Russ & Vi Scharman and their gang of retired district employees, and Deb Cunha, Emily Leckie (and family) and 6th grader, Malachi K, for all their behind the scenes work! I hope I am not forgetting anyone--forgive me if I am!
  • Katie Law and CAST students from KMS who raised money to buy more books for our students! Thank you!
  • KEA for sending us to the book fair with a cash donation for MORE books!

Kuna Schools, once again, you are amazing! Our hearts, (and books) overfloweth... and speaking of hearts, we thank you from the bottom of ours! Thank you, thank you, thank you and have a very Merry Christmas!

~Erin Middelhoven and Susan Hoiland KEA Coordinators for Operation Wishbook
