What's with the Web?
We've heard alot of talk about the new KSD website, and it's finally here! Alot of work has been happening in that backroom closet at the high school since January of this year. Much time has been focused on project management and planning, resulting in a three phase implementation strategy as follows:
Phase I: District Administration Site
Phase II: Curriculum Site
Phase III: School Sites
The District Administration site is largely database driven, and, as a result, has been developed using Dreamweaver MX 2004. The Curriculum site will follow suit. At this time the school sites have been left as is, in FrontPage, and linked to the District Administration site.
Around mid-March, the Preliminary Assessment stage was completed. The Preliminary Assessment included, among other things, defining the site's scope, structure, and organization and assessing technology requirements. Work commenced shortly thereafter on developing templates for the District Administration site. When this was finished, content was added for each of the pages; the result is what you see before you!
