Policy and Procedures
Instructors:
- Contact Wendy Johnson to set up “instructor of record" status.
- Course instructors do not need to be “instructor of record.”
- Instructor stipends are $700 per credit hour. Team teachers will share stipends
- Instructors must submit course proposal, including: title, goals/objectives, syllabi, assignment requirements, dates and times, class location (arrangements made in advance by instructor)
Credit Options: Costs are the same as the institution providing credit. Registration and payment for credit will occur during the first session of class.
Course Costs: Costs for all district sponsored classes are free to school district personnel. Others who are interested in attending classes must pay $50.00 to cover the cost of the instructor.Common Questions:
- What are the pre-registration deadlines? Pre-registration should be completed one week prior to first class meeting. Confirmation notices will be sent by email.
- What if a class is full? You will be notified at time of pre-registration that a class is full and will be placed on a waiting list. You will receive an email notification if a spot becomes available.
- What is the minimum number of participants needed to run class? This varies by class but is generally 10 participants.
- What will happen if a class is cancelled? You will be notified one week prior to first class date if a class is cancelled.
- What should I do if I can't attend a class that I have pre-registered for? If it is possible, at least one week from start of class, notify Susan Crew or the course instructor if you are unable to attend.
