Kuna School District has been chosen to represent Idaho in the 2016 Secretary of Defense Employer Freedom competition for its commitment to members of the National Guard, Reserve and military veterans. The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.

All employers are required to provide certain rights to members serving in the National Guard and Reserve, but Kuna School District is being recognized for going above and beyond what is required to support those who have committed to serving their state and country. Linda Eisele of the Freedom Award Committee for the state of Idaho says: “It has been such an honor to work with Kuna School District. They have a great story and my hope is that the National Committee will recognize the same.” Adam Bell, Director of Finance for Kuna School District and a 2nd Lieutenant in the Idaho Army National Guard says: “I am proud to be part of an organization that honors its men and women in uniform, past, present, and future.”
