Kuna Students Featured In State of the City Address

KunaCityEmblem 300x289Kuna students were mentioned several times in Mayor Nelson’s 2015 State of the City address on February 18. The City of Kuna declared 2014 the year of the Kuna Kid and recognized the KHS Associated Student Body who helped paint the city water tower. In recognition of their assistance, the Kavemen Pride “K” was painted on the tower and pointed toward the high school, so students could see the “K” from the school.

An additional community garden was added at Crimson Point Elementary school. All Kuna elementary schools participated in the Mayor’s Walking Challenge. The mayor congratulated Reed Elementary as the $500.00 winner, walking over 8000 miles and both Crimson Point and Silver Trail Elementary schools won $250.00 for getting their entire student bodies to participate in the challenge. Reed Elementary 6th graders decorated downtown and city hall for Christmas and many student participated in the Christmas tree lighting and Christmas caroling.
