Our school is no longer going to have Star Students.  We are beginning a new school wide recognition program based on the excellent book, How Full is Your Bucket by Tom Rath.  The premise of the book is that each of us has an invisible bucket.  The fuller your bucket the happier you are.  Your bucket can be filled with all the kind interactions you have with others or the things that make you happy.  Your bucket can be dipped from by the opposite.  Everyone wants to have a full bucket!

At Hubbard we are going to start filling our buckets each day by treating each other with respect and kindess in all we do.  Students will have an opportunity to recognize those who have filled their buckets by drawing a picture or writing about the event and placing it in their classroom bucket.  Those will be collected school wide and hung for all to see in the main entrance.

It's a great reinforcement of treating others as you want to be treated!!
