WELCOME TO FREMONT H. TEED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! Our policy is to ensure that the school will assist the student by providing a variety of educational experiences that will prepare each student to meet with a successful future. Each student is entitled to his or her fullest development in all areas of learning and experience. But we recognize the possibilities and limitations of individuals, expecting much of some, and less of others. The development of the student is the center of our thinking and all of our endeavors; the student's welfare is our central purpose for building a foundation for success.

The policies and information contained in this student handbook are an effort on behalf of the administration and the faculty to provide students with the guidelines relating to school life. This information has been carefully prepared and presented to clarify rules as they apply to our students. The handbook will be of great value in helping students adjust to our school and become an intricate part of it.

The ultimate purpose of education is to help the students to become an effective citizen in a democracy. The development and the acceptance of the responsibilities and obligations of good citizenship will enable students to participate successfully in the world of tomorrow. We hope that all students will participate in our varied activities and thus find within our school the experiences that will prepare them to live a better life and finally take their place in this complex society. Remember that success in school is directly proportional to effort.

We are here to help. From now until the time your child leaves school, we'll have student progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, grade checks, student planners, and a monthly newsletter- whatever is necessary to keep you informed about how your child is doing in school. Please encourage your child to bring all materials handed out at school home. I f you have any questions and concerns, or if you need to discuss something in detail, feel free to call the school office or come in personally.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with each of you.

Sincerely,

Ken LilienKamp
