STAR STUDENT--
How do Hubbard students become Star Students? Students are given Star Students in their classroom to be recognized for good citizenship, being a good student, showing improvement, etc. Teachers will recognize that student by writing the specific behavior that is being recognized on the back of the award and giving it to the student. Once students receive 5 Star Students they get to come to the office and pick from the prize box and put their Star Students into a grade level drawing. Once a month the principal chooses 3 Star Students from each grade level to have a special lunch in her office! These student's pictures are placed on this website.
Kindergarten Star Student is a bit different. Since they don't eat lunch with us, teachers pick 5 Star Students every week and the principal visits with each of those students on Friday and gives them a prize and lots and lots of praise! Their pictures are then placed on the website.
Ask your child if they have been receiving Star Student Awards at Hubbard!
