Driver Training Information
Next sign up time will be October 17th, 2008 at 6:30 A.M.
by the high school office.
Kuna High School offers approximately 6-8 classes a year and each class accepts 30 students. (At this time the class still cost $100.00) At various times during the school year, there will be a sign-up time for classes. The sign-up is to get on the waiting list. These times will be announced. Announcements about sign-up times will be announced one week before the day of the sign-up. Flyers will also be placed in the hallways. There are currently 67 students waiting on the list. The last sign up was on May 23rd and there will not be another sign up until October 17, 2008. The driver training class is in high demand and signing up early is very important. You can sign-up before you are 14 ½, but will not be able to get into a class until you reach 14 ½ years of age.
One month to three weeks before a class begins, students will be given a Verification of Compliance and all other information they need before a class begins. If you decide to pass on the class, you need to return the driver education packet to the high school office and let them know that you pass, or your name will be dropped from the class list. If your name is dropped you will have to sign up again.
Private schools for driver education and students 17 years and older. If you plan to take driver education through a private school or have reached the age of 17, you can get a Verification of Compliance from the high school office. (Once you reach 17, you do not have to take driver education.) If you plan to take driver education during the summer with a private school, please contact the high school before school is out for summer break.
If you have any questions please leave a message at the high school for Mrs. Peoples-Huling or send an email to: tpeoples@kunaschools.org.
