Mighty Duck Students of the Month

Career Day Guest speakers

Thanks to all of the Career Day speakers who presented information about jobs to our students.  It was wonderful and extremely educational.  We appreciate the time and effort it took.  Our students enjoyed it immensely.

You may check your child's grades online using this system.  Grades will be updated every Thursday.   Students will log into PASS every Thursday at home or in homeroom and write the grade and missing assignments for each class.   Students are required to put the grades in the "Think" section and get a parent signature.  Parent signatures are checked on Monday in homeroom and are part of the homeroom grade.

Duck Subject News

World History: We are creating a project for "Your Mother was a Neaderthal."  Ancient civilizations are the focus for the third nine weeks.

Science: Independent Investigations have begun.  We are also doing activities with the microscope.

Language Arts:  We are exploring careers the third nine weeks. Students are researching a career that interests them using various sources and writing a paper reflecting the learning from that research.   Spelling and stem study is continuing with a test each Tuesday.  Reading and grammar study are ongoing. Reading requirements are due March 26th.

Important Math items

~ Math Essential worksheets are given out on Fridays and due on Wednesdays.

~ Math Essential Quizzes cover information from that weeks Essential worksheet; the quizzes are taken on Fridays.

~ Ask your child about the independent practice crate and math challenge.

~ Math books can be accessed online - ask your child
