Happy Autumn everyone!!  It is almost October and I feel like we've just begun.  Thank you to all who were able to fit in parent night last week.  I felt like I rambled on and on but everything was so important I couldn't resist.  Please let me know if there was anything you were wondering about that I didn't get a chance to address.  For those who couldn't make it, I will be putting together a packet for you to send home on Wednesday.

Some of you asked about how your child was placed in this or that class.  I will be sending home your specific information early next week.  I am waiting for the final 'ok' from my administration.  This is all new to us so we're making sure we do it right!

Remember, there is no school this Thursday or Friday due to state teacher meetings.  Lucky kiddos!!!

SCIENCE: This week we are working on our variables kit in science.  We are moving from pendulums to floaters.  Oh the watery fun we will behaving.

WRITING: For writing we will be focusing on descriptive word choices and varying sentence length.

SPELLING: This week students will start out in their words their way groups.  These groups were created by placing students at similar spelling development stages together.

MATH:  Ask your child what he or she is learning.  Students go every which way for math.
