Expectations
Students begin every music day with 10 "daily" points. It is their choice to keep or lose their points.
Music Room Rules- (Recorder rules-see bottom of the page)
1) Mouth is closed during instruction time and listening activities.
2) Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
3) Use your best singing voice at all times.
4) No gum, candy or food in the music room.
5) Respect others property. (Music room equipment)
6) Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
**Have fun and always do your best**
Consequences-(Students receive music twice a week for 30 minutes each time)
1st Time= -2 points and see Mrs. Edwards after class.
2nd Time= -another 2 points and lose recess.
3rd Time= - another 2 points and the student and I call home.
4th Time= - another 2 points, detention and sent to the principal.
Rewards-
1) Positive notes sent home.
2) Daily praise.
3) Every class can earn a free music "center" day every quarter.
4) Receive a gold ticket.
Rules for Recorder-
1) -2 points for playing your recorder during instruction time. Put your recorder under your chair for 1 minute.
2) -2 points for bad posture (not sitting at the edge of your chair or feet flat on the floor).
3) 1st time you forget your recorder= -2 points, use a school recorder.
4) 2nd time you forget your recorder= -3 points, use a school recorder.
5) 3rd time you forget your recorder= 0 points, use a school recorder, owe Mrs. Edwards recess and complete a writing assignment.
6) 4th time you forget your recorder= 0 points, complete a writing assignment during music class. Mrs. Edwards calls home.
