Music Curriculum
Mission and Goals of Music Education in the Kuna District
The Kuna school district believes in the importance of a well-rounded music education for every student as part of the student's path toward becoming a contributing, responsible citizen. Through singing, performing, composing, listening, evaluation and analysis, students will develop an internal music sense, an understanding of basic music principals and an appreciation of the myriad ways music affects every living person.
At Teed elementary your child receives music education from a music specialist two times a week for a half hour each time. Students receive a music education based on the curriculum set by the national standards in music education (M.E.N.C.) and the Kuna school district music curriculum. Other subjects such as math, reading, science, social studies, physical education and art are also incorporated into the music curriculum.
