December is here!

We are doing a canned food drive. We will be collecting canned food until Dec 16th. You can bring your cans in anytime.

Please check out the fun activities I have planned for the month of December. If you have time to volunteer in the classroom your help is always appreciated. If you see an activity you would be interested in helping out at please let me know.

The Polar Express is coming on Dec 19th –

We will start our day off with some fun activities with the Polar Express. We will start our Christmas Party at 11: 45. If you would like to volunteer or have any great Christmas party activities please let me know.

How to Make a Gingerbread Cookie – Starting Monday Dec. 8th we will be learning how to write a how to book. On Friday Dec 12th, we will be putting our books together and decorating our gingerbread cookie as we go. We will be starting at 8:15.

Other activities – I have a couple of other activities planned but I have not decided on an exact date or time. I will keep you informed through email, my website and a note home of the dates.

Reading Log – Keep on reading!!!! I will keep track of your logs on a monthly basis, so I can hand out pizza coupons. Coming soon - we will be a participating in the Ticket to Reading program from Silverwood Theme Park. You can earn a free admission to Silverwood Theme Park in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. I will be sending out more information on this program very soon.

Birthdays – Just a reminder - We will celebrate December birthdays on Dec 11th at 2:00.

Lunch times – We change lunch times every month. For the month of

Dec. we will be going to lunch at 11:14, Jan – 11:16, Feb – 11:18, Mar. 11:20, April – 11:10

and May 11: 12. Feel free to come and have lunch anytime with your child.

Web Site – My web site is up and running. You will be able to find our homework for the week, spelling words, what we are working on in math, reading and writing. You will also find my newsletter and parent information. Go to www.kunaschools.org , schools, Hubbard Elementary, staff and click on the world next to my name. This will bring up my web site.

Teachers/Parents Communicator – Please remember to check your students backpack everyday. This is a great way to communicate.
