CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
In order to provide my students with the excellent educational climate they deserve, I have developed the following plan that will be in effect at all times. The rules are posted in our classroom and they are reviewed from time to time.
CLASSROOM RULES
1. Listen while others are talking
2. Follow directions
3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Work quietly and do not disturb others.
5. Show respect for school and personal property.
6. Work and play in a safe manner.
7. Work hard and have fun!
If a student chooses to break a rule I have a behavior chart posted in the room. This chart is based on a card sysytem. Students start each day with one green card showing. They will receive one verbal warning after they disobey a rule. If unacceptable behavior continues after their first warning, then students are asked to pull the green card so a yellow card will be showing. Once a yellow card is showing, I will have him/her lose 5 minutes of their recess time. If they choose to break the rules again, they will be asked to pull their yellow card, so that a red card is showing. When this occurs the student will owe me 10 minutes of their recess time(even if they already paid me their 5 minutes earlier in the day). If they receive more than 2 red cards in one week I will either write a note home or call that day to discuss the situation.
If behaviors persist, a behavior plan will be put in motion as a Student, Parent, and Teacher team effort.
