I will make contacts to parents/guardians whose students are missing assignments over the break. I hope that this will help students get caught up. Have a safe and relaxing winter vacation!
ALL ASSIGNMENTS, LATE OR MISSING, ARE DUE THE 9TH OF JANUARY. AFTER THAT, NO ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
We are completing our Human Figure studies with an Exaggerated Facial Expressions Self-Portrait. All the Human Figure assignments will be graded in January.
Students received their Final Homework Project. This will be due on the 9th of January, no late assignments will be accepted for this project. It is worth 300 points and a good portion of their grade, so, make sure it is not blown off. A new reading assignment also went home on the 12th of Dec. Student discussion questions for this reading are due Dec. 16th and we will have our class discussion on Dec. 18th.
Be sure to check the PASS program for assignments, due dates, and grades. An assignment -except for homework and journals- is not late if it is turned in at the beginning of the class period after the due date. So, for example, if the due date is on Monday, the assignment can be turned in Wed. at the beginning of class with no late penalty. If it is 10 minutes into class on Wed., it is late. It must be turned in before the tardy bell rings.
Remember, there are two ways to fail my class: 1. to not do the work; and 2. to not turn in work. As long as your student puts in good effort during class time and turns their work in, they will at least get a C.
