I will make contacts to parents/guardians whose students are missing assignments over the break. I hope that this will help students get caught up. Have a safe and relaxing winter vacation!

ALL ASSIGNMENTS, LATE OR MISSING, ARE DUE THE 9TH OF JANUARY. AFTER THAT, NO ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

We have started our Abstract Textures assignment. Students will draw a picture of a collage of textures that they created in class. This will be due right after break.

A new reading assignment will go home after break. Students must write and turn in three questions to contribute to discussion. These questions, and actual participation will be how they are graded for reading assignments. We will usually discuss a reading assignment one week after it is assigned. Be sure to check the PASS program for assignments, due dates, and grades.

An assignment -except for homework and journals- is not late if it is turned in at the beginning of the class period after the due date. So, for example, if the due date is on Monday, the assignment can be turned in Wed. at the beginning of class with no late penalty. If it is 10 minutes into class on Wed. it is late. It must be turned in before the tardy bell rings.

Students are working on their Choice projects. Ask your student about this, we are learning about a large variety of art movements, so they will choose one out of a group.

Remember, there are two ways to fail my class: 1. to not do the work; and 2. to not turn in work. As long as your student puts in good effort during class time and turns their work in, they will at least get a C.
