How do I enroll/register my child?
First, sign up online. If you need a computer, you’re welcome to use one at the district office or a school.
Finish the process by taking these documents to your child’s school:
- Your child's original birth certificate (the office will make a copy to put in their file)
- Immunization records with proof of required Idaho immunizations or Exemption
- Proof of address (phone bill, utility bill or signed rental agreement)
- Previous school transcript or most recent report card (if any)
- If needed, custody legal documents
Which school will my child attend?
Enter your address in our SchoolSite Locator. If your home was recently built, it may not appear in the online site. If you cannot identify your school attendance area, please call the Kuna School District administrative office at 1.208.922.1000 weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the receptionist will help you.
May our family choose another school?
Families may apply to have their child attend a school outside of their attendance area in a process called Open Enrollment. Please contact the principal at the school about whether space is available and to apply.
What is the school bell schedule?
It's posted here. Wednesdays are early release for elementary schools
Do Kuna schools offer busing?
Free busing is available for families who live 1.5 miles or further from their assigned school. Need help? Call the transportation team at 1.208.922.1013.

Yes, we do have busing available to licensed providers in our community.

Do Kuna schools offer breakfast and lunch, and how much does it cost?
Yes. Breakfast and lunch for the 2021-22 School Year is free
What afterschool and community sports programs are available for elementary students?
The district partners with the Kuna Boys and Girls Club to offer services for children in 1st through 6th grades.
What other community programs are available in the city?

Kuna School District offers a comprehensive education program for students which also includes award-winning career technical education, music, athletics,and other extracurricular programs.
