Kuna FFA excel at nationals

Kuna FFA excel at nationals 2022

Highlights

There are 92 FFA chapters in the state of Idaho. Idaho FFA has 24 different career development events in which students may compete for the opportunity to represent our state at the national level.

Only the state winners go on to compete at national convention, and it is very unusual for one FFA chapter to win 5 state events in one year.

This year, Kuna represented Idaho in 20% of the possible events!

What makes the 2021 Kuna FFA delegation even more special is that for the first time, and due to COVID-19, national FFA required state winning teams to compete online in August or September in a virtual preliminary round to limit the amount of students who would be gathering together in October.

After this unusual preliminary virtual qualifying round, all five of the Kuna teams moved on to compete in person at Indianapolis Oct. 27-30, 2021.

Every team and individual who competes at national convention are given a gold, silver, or bronze ranking based on their performance.

The National Chapter Award program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters around the nation that actively implement the mission and strategies of the National FFA Organization. Chapters that advance to the national level are recognized as 1, 2, or 3 star chapters. Kuna was one of 10 Idaho chapters to advance to the national level this year, and went on to receive a two-star ranking.
