Kuna High BBQ Team smokes the competition, taking home Reserve Grand Champion title

Reserve Grand Champions!
The Kuna High School BBQ team, the Kuna Smokers, placed second overall at the Potato Days BBQ Battle on Oct. 3rd, taking home the Reserve Grand Champion title.
Our students competed against adult teams with years of experience rather than other high schools. Here are the category results:
- 3rd Place – Chicken Wings
- 3rd Place – Beef
- 5th Place – People's Choice Potatoes
Team Breakdown:
Jacob Widman (Pit Master): Led the pit in his second competition.
Patrick Kern, TJ Price, & Jacob Nulle: Handled prep and execution, operating like a production kitchen.
