Information about today's delay at Swan Falls

Posted Date: 9/03/25 (8:50 AM)

Kuna High parents

I have a quick update for you about the delay in the start of school at Swan Falls High School today. Overnight, an Idaho Power fuse at the school failed. Our backup generators activated and kept critical systems (kitchen, technology, etc.) active at Swan Falls.

Staff who arrived at Swan Falls before students noticed the unusual odors in the building. Out of an abundance of caution, we kept students outside while the fire department investigated.

After a short delay, students and staff returned to the school and a normal schedule.

We appreciate the timely response of the Kuna Fire District.

Student notification?

If students did not receive the notices via StudentSquare, please make sure the school has your cellphone number as notifications may have gone only to your parent/guardian’s number.

Thank you!
