Meal Donations
We believe that every Kuna student deserves access to nutritious, hot meals so they can focus on learning and thriving.
While some programs (Free & Reduced Price Meals Program, SNAP, TAFI, Income Dependent Medicaid, Foster, Migrant, McKinney Vento) help cover meals for eligible families, unexpected financial gaps can leave students without coverage.
Your generosity can help bridge the gap.

In our elementary schools, no student is turned away from receiving a meal, even if their account balance is negative. Weekly reminders are sent to families to help keep track of the account. While state and federal programs cover many families, other families experience temporary financial strain and can't always fund their student's account.
Why your donation matters: At the end of the school year, each elementary school is responsible for covering all remaining negative meal balances.Unpaid meal debt directly impacts the financial resources available to the school. Your contribution directly relieves accumulated lunch debt at the chosen elementary school. District administration has discretion to allocate these funds to help clear the meal debt of families in their school.

Under district policy, students in grades 6-12 cannot charge a full meal to their account. They must have money in their account to eat. While state and federal programs cover many families, other families experience temporary financial strain and can't always fund their student's account.
Why your donation matters: Donations made help provide an immediate safety net for students with a negative lunch account. School administrators use these funds to discreetly cover meal costs for students in temporary need, ensuring the student receives their meal without stress or stigma.

Donations to this account will benefit all students in the district, regardless of their school.
