Update from Principal Reno!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we settle into the fall season and the routine of school I want to remind you as parents about an impactful routine. This time of year is a great opportunity to get into the routine of checking in on your students progress and make sure your student is on track for this semester.  Take a few moments once a week and log into Schoology and review your student’s grades and assignments.  Some parents find more useful to have the their student log in and review it from the student view.   Regularly checking grades together can open up meaningful conversations and monitor your students progress. The partnership between school and home, and your involvement plays a vital role in your students success. If you have questions or need assistance with Schoology access, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

I’m also looking for parents interested in serving on our Parent Advisory Board. We meet once a month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evenings to discuss current topics, trends, and solutions for Kuna High School. Our first meeting will be held September 23rd in the library. Please fill out the form below to sign up.

Finally, I want to celebrate the success of Homecoming Week! It has been an incredible week of school spirit and community, and we’re excited to wrap it up with the annual assembly, varsity football game, and homecoming dance on Saturday. We hope to see you at the game to cheer on our team and enjoy the festivities.

With gratitude,
Robbie Reno

School Photo Retakes

Students are required to have their school ID on them each day at school. If they have misplaced or lost forever, a new one can be purchased with Bookkeeper for $5.00.
If your student was at Back To School Days, their proof is available on at www.DirectPhoto.net – You will need your student’s school ID number to access the gallery. From there you can select multiple backgrounds, packages, ala cart, and various products. For any questions or inquiries, please email: office@directphoto.net. Feed It Forward Donation Opportunity

Supporting Students at Kuna High School One Meal at a Time
No student should go hungry. No student should be shamed.
The Feed It Forward program provides a way for our community to support Kuna High School students by helping cover student meal debt ensuring every child has access to a healthy, dignified meal at school.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Make a Donation
Community members, parents, and organizations can contribute in one of two ways:
  • Add funds through the LINQ online meal payment system (just like adding to your own student’s account).
  • Drop off cash or check at the Kuna School District Office or the Kuna High School Office.
Please indicate that the donation is for the Feed It Forward account at Kuna High School.

2. Funds Are Applied to Student Meal Debt
Your donation will be used to reduce or eliminate unpaid meal balances for Kuna High School students in need.

3. Students Receive Meals Without Shame
When students do not have enough funds in their account, the cafeteria cashier can discreetly use the Feed It Forward account so no student is denied a meal or singled out.

4. Guidelines for Use
To ensure funds help the most students:
  • Only full meals can be purchased with Feed It Forward funds.
  • No à la carte items (extra snacks, desserts, or drinks) will be covered.
  • Second meals are not eligible, as they are charged at the adult rate.
WHY IT MATTERS
  • Combats Hunger – Every student deserves access to nutritious food.
  • Supports Our Schools – Helps manage and reduce student meal debt.
  • Builds Community – Allows individuals to make a direct, local impact.
  • Promotes Dignity – No student experiences lunch shaming or food insecurity at school.
GET INVOLVED
Your contribution directly supports students at Kuna High School.
Together, we can Feed It Forward one meal at a time.
